Danielle Hanson is creating a name for herself in Calgary’s booming film industry.
With almost a decade of experience, Danielle is a consummate and skilled makeup professional. Her first feature film experience was on the Steven Spielberg produced television mini-series Into the West. Since then, she has been part of some amazing projects ranging from Nike commercials starring Dion Phaneuf and Jerome Iginla to recreating history in the acclaimed Canadian Heritage Minutes collection.
Danielle is a graduate of the Blanche Macdonald Centre’s Makeup Artistry program in Vancouver, British Columbia. It is considered to be one of the top schools in the world for instruction in all fields of makeup artistry. Her background includes training in bridal, fashion photography, special effects, and film and television makeup application.
For the past five years, Danielle has been a makeup artist on Canada’s longest running television drama series CBC's Heartland. She is currently at work on season two of the FX channel’s Golden Globe winning television series Fargo. In addition to her film and television work, Danielle spends her weekends creating makeup looks for bridal parties and has built up a large cliental for special events makeup.
Danielle is a hardworking, talented makeup artist with a versatile portfolio of experience. She is always looking for new and creative opportunities and is available for travel.
